Website Rosebud Toy Library

Learning through play

We are looking for a volunteer to run a borrowing session once a week during school terms.

The Rosebud Toy Library is a non-profit community service looking to increase the number of hours we are open each week so that families and children can borrow toys.

A volunteer session leader looks after the borrowing and returns of toys for a minimum of two hours per week during school terms. As this will be an addition to our current opening times the time and day of the session is negotiable.

All borrowing and returns are recorded using an online borrowing system. Once toys are returned volunteers check all the parts are included and they are clean before returning them to the library shelves.

Other tasks include welcoming and chatting to members, recommending toys if you feel comfortable doing so, joining up new members and taking eftpos and cash payments. Training is provided in all of these areas.

In line with our child safety and operational policies, volunteer session leaders require Working With Children Checks and a Police check. The Rosebud Toy Library will cover the cost of these checks for successful applicants.

Please contact us to set up a time to meet with one of our committee members to discuss this opportunity. Our coordinator Laura can be contacted on 0432 958 351
