Thank you for your concern, actions and thoughts for our fellow Australians who have been impacted by the devastating fires that have ravaged across our country. The impact of the devastation will be felt for a very long time to come. Our hearts go out to every Australian who has been impacted by these tragic events. Millions of hectares have been destroyed, along with the tragic loss of life, the destruction of property as well as native animals and their habitat being destroyed. It is in times like these that Australians come together.
We are grateful to the thousands of selfless, dedicated, highly trained emergency services personnel working tirelessly to respond to these disasters as well as the countless volunteers working behind the scenes.
During times of crisis it is natural to feel a compelling urge to help. With the extent of the devastation our country has experienced in recent months, many in our community have provided assistance by volunteering, donating money, goods and services.
If you would like to volunteer to help out you can keep an eye out for volunteer roles on online sites such govolunteer.com.au and with front line services such as Red Cross, Vinnies, SES etc.
