Expressions of Interest open to join our Peninsula Advisory Committee for Elders and our Disability Advisory Committee

We’re currently looking for new members to join our Peninsula Advisory Committee for Elders and our Disability Advisory Committee.
The Peninsula Advisory Committee for Elders (PACE) is a committee of the Shire whose purpose is to advocate, advise and make recommendations to Council on creating age friendly communities for older people on the Peninsula. PACE has been running since 2006 and meets around 8 to 10 times a year (in person and online).
The Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) is a committee of the Shire whose purpose is to advocate, advise and make recommendations to Council on issues impacting people with disability in the community. DAC has been running for 9 years and meets 8 to 10 times a year (in person and online).

Community members who would like to join need to meet the below criteria:

PACE membership criteria:

  • Must be over 50 years of age
  • Live full-time or part-time on the Peninsula
  • Have an interest in positive ageing
DAC membership criteria:
  • You have lived experience of disability
  • You care for or have family members with a disability
  • Are a disability service provider.
