Website Mornington Peninsula Shire

Learning to drive has become easier for the young people of Mornington Peninsula thanks to the TAC L2P Program. This program is funded by the TAC and managed by the Department of Transport (DoT, formerly VicRoads), supported by the Victorian Government.

The TAC L2P Program assists learners under 21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain the 120 hours driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence.

At any given time, approximately 2,300 young Victorians from across the state are benefiting from the program.

We are looking for community minded people who are looking for a volunteering role with flexibility and only an hour or two a week, to assist our learners to gain their mandated hours.

You will receive training, ongoing support and use of Shire vehicles whilst participating in the program.
