The Briars Heritage Seed Garden is a representation of the kitchen garden once grown by the Balcombe family and their descendants. It is now for the benefit of the community, providing heritage vegetable seeds, bulbs, fruits and vegetables for visitors to purchase.

The Heritage Seed Garden Volunteers provide vital care to the garden to ensure the ongoing production of fruit and vegetables and to maintain a healthy and sustainable heritage vegetable seed bank.

Key Tasks for the Heritage Seed Garden volunteers include watering, planting, seed sowing, mulching, weeding and cleaning and packaging seeds.
