Mt Martha House Historical Collection
A group of history loving people working to preserve the past.
We are looking for a part time volunteer with any of these skills, who loves working with local history, particularly at Mount Martha House to join our team.
This group aims to collect, protect, preserve, digitise, data entry onto a database program and store existing and new material. There are specific requirements around this process and you will be given every opportunity to be trained and supported with these systems. We also conduct tours, and talks, both in person and online, subject to COVID requirements.
There are two display rooms, which we would like to be open regularly.
Opportunity for research on line, recording of history, both film and voice, transcription of existing material.
Opportunity to develop online promotion, web page, hosting, and social media. More information can be found on our Facebook page.
Our volunteers become registered with the Mornington Peninsula Shire, who require a current Working With Children Check, a Police check and all Shire requirements.
