Website Peninsula Positive Paws Dog Club Inc.

Do you have any experience with dogs? Are you passionate about giving back to your community?

We are on the lookout for volunteers to join our not for profit club! Help us provide education to our wider community about responsible pet ownership, providing positive reinforcement training for puppies through to older dogs.

Volunteer instructors do not receive any monetary benefit. They donate their time sharing their wealth of experience and skills in dog training, dog behaviour etc. They meet regularly to support each other in ongoing learning and development. Instructors are committed to guiding handlers and their dogs in developing skills, focus and a positive dog-handler relationship.

Our volunteer Instructors conduct training sessions, attend meetings, undertake continuous improvement training because they love dogs and want to share the benefit of their experience to improve the relationship between other dogs and their handlers.

Our club is successful through the efforts of our volunteers. Without these people donating their time, our club would not be able to provide such a valuable service to the community.

We are very grateful to all of our volunteers and value their contribution they give us with their time and support each week.

If you would like to help, your assistance will be appreciated.

We encourage you to come and help make a difference in the lives of dogs and dog owners.

Here’s what you can look forward to as a volunteer Instructor:

Positive reinforcement training. (Our club offers engaging and fun training sessions designed to reinforce behaviours in a friendly and welcoming environment. Participate in educational workshops, practical and theory-based training focussing on various aspects)

Mentoring & supportive community (You’ll be joining a group of passionate dog lovers and other experienced instructors who are always ready to support, share knowledge, and celebrate the successes of every member.)

What we expect of a volunteer Instructor:

Passion & enthusiasm for dogs and positive reinforcement methods

A commitment of 6 months, and at least 2 training days per month are required. Training days are on Sundays.
