Do you enjoy being around children? Have a friendly and approachable personality? You might be the person we have been looking for!

We need volunteers to assist our session leaders with the running of our weekly sessions. Currently these sessions run on Friday afternoons and Saturday morning.

We are currently actively recruiting new Volunteer Session Leaders and hope to increase our opening hours soon. If you are interested in being a session leader please see our other volunteering post.

Rosebud Toy Library a community-based organisation, passionate about supporting families in our community by providing a wide range of good quality educational, social and recreational toys that may be beyond the resources of the average family.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with running a borrowing session once a week or fortnight during school terms.

A volunteer session assistant helps with the borrowing and returns of toys for a minimum of two hours per week or fortnight during school terms. Currently we are open Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

All borrowing and returns are recorded using an online borrowing system. Once toys are returned volunteers check all the parts are included and they are clean before returning them to the shelves.

Other tasks include welcoming and chatting to members, recommending toys if you feel comfortable doing so, joining up new members and taking eftpos and cash payments. Training is provided in all of these areas.

In line with our child safety and operational policies volunteers over 18 years of age require Working With Children Checks and current Co-Vid 19 vaccination certificate or medical exemption.

We are happy to host students who require volunteer hours for their studies or young people working towards awards with organisations such as Scouts and Guides.
