Seawinds Community Hub

Board Members – seeking Expression of Interest

Seawinds Community Hub (Rosebud West Community Hub Ltd) is located adjacent to Eastbourne Primary School in Capel Sound. The Hub was constructed in two stages and currently houses a Kindergarten and Day Care service and a Community House as well as many multi-purpose rooms and offices that are used by a variety of organizations to provide health and wellbeing, social, leisure and community activities.   In addition, we operate a Men’s Shed and a Kitchen Garden.

The Centre is operated by a welcoming, dedicated, professional team of staff and volunteers, led by our Manager. SWCH receives funding from Mornington Peninsula Shire, Department of Families Fairness and Housing, Department of Education, philanthropic partners, community partners and sponsors.

The purpose of the Hub, as defined in the Vision, Mission and Values of the organisation, is to be a community meeting and activity centre, servicing people of the surrounding community of all ages and backgrounds. Key to the philosophy is a ‘cradle to grave’ ethos, with the intent that the Hub will promote social cohesion and provide support, information and services for people of all ages, backgrounds and circumstances.
