Providing a safety net for our community.

Southern Peninsula Community Support (SPCS) provides a safety net for our community, supporting people in crisis or experiencing disadvantage, who often fall through the gaps.  We offer a wide range of support including food and material aid, advocacy, negotiation and referral, and importantly we provide a space where people will feel valued and listened to, fostering trust and connection with our community.  We encourage independence and aim to empower people to make positive change in their lives.

Our Pantry Program supports many families and individuals in our community with food and essentials to help get them through the week.  Our fresh food and pantry team is a fun group who work well together, with lots of support from staff.  Right now we need extra help in the pantry, particularly with store-person type work, driving our van and towing a trailer.  The volunteer(s) we are looking for will need to be able to safely lift and carry weights of 15kgs, drive manual and reverse a trailer!  If this sounds like you please get in touch, either by email on admin@spcsic.org or by calling the Volunteer Support Coordinator on 5986 1285 (call 9.30am-3.30pm, Mon-Fri).
