Website Southern Peninsula Community Support

Providing a safety net for our community.

Southern Peninsula Community Support (SPCS) provides a safety net for the community, supporting people who are in crisis or experiencing disadvantage, who often fall through the gaps.  We offer a wide range of support including food and material aid, advocacy, negotiation and referral, and importantly we provide a space where people will feel valued and listened to, fostering trust and connection with our community.  We encourage independence and aim to empower people to make positive change in their lives.

Our Southern Peninsula Laundry and Shower program (SPLaSh) is run off-site on the foreshore.  The program is designed to successfully engage people who are rough sleeping and experiencing other forms of homelessness by offering access to showers, laundry, material aid and a meal.

Recently SPLaSh received a donation via local Lions Clubs of a mobile shower and laundry van, which is an amazing addition to the program and allows for much greater access to these essential facilities.  However, it needs some special skills!  We are looking for a couple of extra people who can confidently tow and reverse this quite large unit in tight conditions, we currently have one person doing the job and we would like to spread the commitment so we can cover the work while others are on leave.  It suits a Rosebud local as the person is required from 10.30 – 11.30 & then again 2pm to 3pm on a Monday and a Thursday.

If you are confident and experienced behind the wheel when it comes to towing we encourage you to apply!  Any questions or for more information on how to apply please email or phone 5986 1285 and speak to the Volunteer Support Coordinator.  Our Volunteer Application Pack can be found on our website at
